Families & Children

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)-Lead Evaluator for CCBHC, providing qualitative and quantitative reporting on organizational and client level outcomes via analysis of electronic medical records, SAMHSA’s Performance, Accountability and Reporting System (SPARS) data and process documentation. Special populations of focus for this grant program include adolescents, older adults and veterans.

Strategic Prevention Framework-
Partnerships for Success
(SPF PFS)

Strategic Prevention Framework -Partnerships for Success (SPF PFS), a SAMHSA grant, for the Manchester Vernon Prevention Partnership (MVPP)-Lead Epidemiologist providing support for grant preparation, evaluation and technical assistance for the MVPP coalition which aims to reduce underage drinking work in the towns of Manchester and Vernon.

Rushford Inc.

Meriden Opioid Referral for Recovery (MORR)- Lead Evaluator for Federal Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) Grant. The MORR program initiatives a referral to treatment from first responders when opioid overdose results in a call to 911 in Meriden. Those referred receive expedited engagement with Rushford staff and support from Case Managers and Recovery Support Specialists. Evaluation efforts include baseline resource assessment and demographic data collection, design of data collection tools for participant outcomes, considerations of health disparity and inclusion of differently abled populations and follow-up data analysis for outcome reporting.


Meriden Early Diversion, Referral, and Retention Project (MERR)

Lead Evaluator for SAMHSA’s Law Enforcement and Behavioral Health Partnerships for Early Diversion program. This is a partnership between law enforcement and Rushford that diverts adults with a serious mental illness (SMI) or a co-occurring disorder (COD) from the criminal justice system to Rushford and other community-based services prior to arrest and booking.

Meriden Healthy Youth Coalition Drug Free Communities Grant

Support for grant preparation, evaluation and technical assistance for Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Drug-Free Communities Grant.

Hartford Healthcare/Rushford’s SAMHSA Grant

Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA)—Connecticut Treatment Expansion for Accessibility-(C-Tea): Formative evaluation of grant program process and outcomes of Rushford’s medication assisted treatment applied in conjunction with smart phone application recovery support with utilization of recovery coaches. Efforts focus on assessment of client demographics and other characteristics that facilitate client engagement in treatment as compared to those who are not as engaged.


Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) Problem Gambling Services Unit

Ongoing evaluation design and implementation of culturally sensitive evaluation tools and methods for five programs aimed at raising awareness of problem gambling and financial literacy. Support to leadership on adoption of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework Model to drive gambling awareness program planning and evaluation.

Yale New Haven Health

Support facilitation of a Health Enhancement Community (HEC) Initiative in greater Bridgeport aimed at improving the health and
well-being of all residents in Connecticut and reducing Connecticut’s healthcare costs by improving community health, health equity, and preventing poor health. Support for this multi-sector project included engagement of community ambassadors, prioritization of concerns under the focus areas of child-wellbeing and healthy weight/physical activity and planning for sustainable infrastructure for the
governing body.

Support for grant preparation, evaluation and technical assistance for Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Drug-Free Communities Grant.
